In addition to our lectures at ETH, we support Millennium Institute in providing modeling and policy analysis training for government officials in developing countries.

We support Millennium Institute in the implementation of capacity building workshops on System Dynamics and T21 Modeling in individual African countries (e.g. Swaziland) or in African regions (e.g. ECOWAS region). Workshop participants are usually delegates from key planning ministries such as the ministry of finance or the ministry of economic planning and development.
In these trainings, we:

• Provide basic capacity in System Dynamics
• Provide basic capacity in model understanding, calibration and modification
• Discuss with the teams the key issues to be addressed in their national models
• Discuss the main causal relationships, and the level of detail required in the modeling
• Review data collected by the teams during the data collection phase
• Identify where additional data may be needed and the likely sources
